Light exposed aggregate concrete for Armstrong Creek home

The client envisioned a concreting solution that seamlessly integrated with their existing driveway, opting for a light exposed aggregate concrete mix. This led to a comprehensive plan encompassing excavation and concreting for the backyard, nature strip, and additional features.

Site preparation began with the use of a 3-tonne Yanmar excavator (mini) for efficient excavation of the backyard and nature strip, ensuring precise soil removal. This comprehensive excavation cleared the site for new concrete works and the installation of a garden shed slab, with careful planning to guarantee correct falls and functionality.

For the concrete works, a custom mix design was formulated, consisting of an 80% white / 20% blue 7mm stone mix for the exposed aggregate. Detailed client consultations were conducted to fine-tune measurements and ensure alignment with their plans.

The custom-exposed aggregate concrete works commenced, resulting in a transformation of the property with a unique and visually appealing finish. The benefits delivered were significant, with the exposed aggregate concrete paving enhancing the property’s aesthetic appeal while also incorporating functional design elements to ensure proper drainage and usability.

Through close consultation and custom solutions, the project was completed to the client’s full satisfaction, aligning perfectly with their vision and existing driveway aesthetics. The efficiency and precision achieved, thanks to the utilisation of our own machinery like the Yanmar excavator, further underscored our commitment to delivering exceptional results.
